Hey Jeff I know you give away alot of meat but what do you do with the hides?? I have a load of tanned hides stacked up.They make a way cool trophy when your dropping does and you could have a nice jacket made for the little woman..

Nice job and a major Atta Boy at yuh..

Nice shooting. Do you typically hunt that high? Everytime-sometimes?

Janesburg.....I don't always hunt from that height.....but most times I do with the compound. Here lastely, though.....I just get high enough to get good cover. Last night I had a limb I needed to get above.

ORIGINAL: GMMAT

Thanks guys. I appreciate the encouragement.

Fletch....it's not the limits of my setup that makes me limit my shot selection. It's experience.

You guys (and you know who you are)....your encouraging words are awesome to read. It makes sharing these times special.

Thank YOU.:)
Oh, well dont worry about that. Someday you'll have the experience needed to know when and how to take that longer shot with good success. Just takes a lot of practice and confidence and knowing when and how to get it done. Someday 35 and maybe even 40 yards will seem like a "chip shot". Most of my 60+ bow-kills have been within 25 yards but it is nice to be able to be successful beyond that. Great job on your doe, keep it up. These are special times.:D

Fletch:

I practice to 60 yds....and did pretty well in my 3D year (won 4 shoots and finished in top 3 in a few others).....but I know my limitations in a treestand from BAD experiences.

I only have 17 bowkills (3+ years).....but that's more by choice than anything else.It could bemore.I'm in my 4th year....and I hopeALL future"these times" are special.;)

60+ bowkills? Congrats! Sounds like sometime in my tenth season at this pace.....if I choose that route (which I highly doubt I will);).

Congrats on the doe, Jeff.

Your perspective is very interesting to me. Here in IL with the densities much lower, we hope to see something every time out. I'd LOVE to shoot around 6 does a year, but time and actual chances limit that. Cool to see different peoples hunting ways, thanks.
