I am hunting in a situation that is new to me. In my 30+yrs of bowhunting I've always been a big farm/woods hunter. Now I am hunting a residential area with about 25 acres of woods in back of it.

My first morning hunting I was 21 deer before 8am and shot a doe.
2nd morning there was much the same...with me killing a doe.
3rd morning there I saw 3 bucks a herd of does and shot one of the bucks.

I haven't kept real close tabs on numbers...but I think that I've hunted there a total of 4 hours and I've seen somewhere around 60 deer. That's 15 per hour. Not too shabby. LOL

If you can get one of these residential gigs...jump on it. LOL

been out 24 hours total , 7 times , seen deer twice , shot 2 does the first hunt 15 min into it. last hunt i finaly seen deer again but way out of range

I've been out 34 hours and have seen 33 deer.

I have just over 18 hours in the stand so far this year. The first 10 I saw nothing, the last 8 I saw 22.

I've hunted about 21-24 hours in four different spots and the only deer I've seen was when I'm walking back to the truck, happened twice.[:@]

So some of you guys are in the same boat as me....seeing low deer numbers. Man I tell you, it can make for a long hard season to see deer only every 7-8 hours, and most of the time I see 3-4 deer, then nothing for the next 20+ hours.

I suppose I "average" about 4 hour sits......and I've hunted 22 times, now. I've seen 53 deer from stand. So I'm not quite sure where that math lies within your poll (Actually I am.....but it's between No. 1 and No. 2). Anyways....you see what I'm saying.

I'm not worried about it, HERE (not making light of your situation). I'm always hoping for less sightings, annually.....and most of the places I'm now hunting....I'm hoping to see a buck or nothing.

Ive sit a total of 16 hours killed two deer and including them and the ones Ive glassed out in the field "after" killing those two, Ive seen 11 deer. But while actually sitting in my stand Ive seen 5.

I went the first 25-26 hrs this season with out seeing a deer. 6 sits I believe.

THen Isaw 6 deer and killed one in the first 45minutes of the next hunt.
