Default Deer down, my first bow kill! (pics)

I've always loved to hunt whitetails with shotguns, but early this year I decided I really wanna go at it with a bow. Ididn't have any one to teach me but for the past eight months I've been practicing ALOT and trying to gain as much knowldge from you guys as possible. Well this morning I got my first deer with a bow. Its a youngster but I'm very proud and she'll be good eatin'. Since opening day I've been surrounded by deer almost every sit, but this morning was the first time I felt comfortable to shoot. All the other times they were atleast 35 yards and I didn't shoot cuz I told myself I wouldnt shoot anything past 25 yrds. Well patience paid off on my 8th day of hunting hard, and I tooka young doe at 7 yards. Its been a great October- my little brother got his first bowkill last week and I got mine today, which is my birthday. I feel really blessed that my family got property of our own.Its a small farm in SE Indiana with 15 acres of timber and a fishing pond, and a small field. It hasbrought us closer as a family and I've had a blast hunting with my brother. I wanna thank all the people on here who answered questions and gave advice, I really appreciate it.

Attached are some pics..Its not a big deer but Im very proud of it. Thanks ya'll

Congrats. It is a feeling of accomplishment and I'm sure it is in your blood now. Nice doe. I shot one last Saturday morning about that same size, really good eating size. You made the right decision not to shoot when you are not comfortable. Just wait it out.
