I would estimate the shot to be about 30-35yds. I thought she was fairly small when I shot her. She ended up weighing around 120-140lbs.

The arrow deflected off her front left shoulder and lodged into the other shoulder. Got both lungs. Right at the tail end of the video you can see her crash. She got back up and made it another 20yds or so down the ridge before taking a dirt nap.

I think the reference was to the fact that (in this forum) "primitive" generally refers to recurve and longbow shooters.

Lol. Bobco is a member of the trad crew here. When you see primitive weapon, one assumes a selfbow or at the least a laminated recurve or longbow. Not a bow withwheels.

Primative usually means self bows. Noting more than a stick tillered out with no backing and wooden arrowsor reed arrowswith flint or obsidian heads and hemp, lenin,or letchagia strings.

Traditional usually refers to long and recurved bows that are composites. Usually wooden laminations. or woodlaminations under glass.

I got one around 6pm opening day, Wednesday, as well but not on video. My video hunt from Saturday is 2nd only to my first ever deer. It was a cool experience that I can relive everyday if I want. I will have a camera in the tree more often and will try to film my own hunt soon!
