Great pictures Ryan! Great to hear the account of your hunts! The effort and the agony will just make the reward that much sweeter when you connect.
I think it is a very good indication of how hard that kind of hunting is when the likes of yourself and Troy are working as hard as you do.

The trad bows never made it out of the yard. Yes originally there were dreams of grandeur to try and take an elk with the recurve, but those thoughts quickly faded out to my reality of needing every chance possible to connect on my first elk. I plan to hunt elk the rest of my life, and I'll get my day with the trad gear when the time is right. Time and a place, this was just not it yet.
The above picture of us shooting for the afternoon, was as special a memory as any on the entire trip.

Hey Ryan - thanks for the pic's and story! - Sounds like another incredible adventure!All the sights, smells and sounds indelibly etched! The luck is fading with the elk - just watch next time!
