Default Just got back from Colorado - PICS ARE UP

Well we just got back last night after a week in God's Country. We were in the elk every day and heard plently of bugles. The first night I called in a 5x6 for the friend that went along. Him and I went two years ago and since I got one then, I was hoping to get him a shot. Course after being there for only 1.5 hours, we had a bull down. It was a great time and got the whole thing on video (just have to learn how to get it from my GL2 to the internet). I passed on a 4x4 Wednesday morning hoping for one a little bigger, but never had another opportunity for that. All in all, I saw a total of 13 elk, 3 of which were legal bulls, 5 spikes, and the rest cows. As always, I look forward to next year

See below, as I had a problem with the upload.

We hunted BLM land, but it was a camp owned by outfitter

This is a good sign. This mark in the tree is called a blaze. These were used by sheepherders to take the flock into and out of the mountains. These would lead a trail into the parks which were green all the time regardless of rainfall due to the natural mountain springs. When you see these, you know it will hold game well into late fall
