Have the rest of you IL hunters seen the forcast for the opener??? AHHHHH that sure sounds nice. A lot better than it has been lately. The deer might actually move before dark!!

I've been checking the forecast models for a week now and it continues to show cool temps. Sure looks like highs next weekend might struggle to hit 60 for the northern half of the state. Heck of a lot better than last year when it was mid 80s.

I'm praying that the forecast is right, or maybe even cooler.[8D]
Last year it was in the 90's and it was miserable!

I am the same way, it is nearly too good to be true though!! I sure hope the front doesn't break before it gets to us!! I can't take 80 degrees openers anymore!

you too, if that weather comes I may just get the bow out and sneak it into the tree around the wife's eyes, supposed to pack in the camera and not my bow......but with cool temps instinct takes over!!

I am looking at 50 degree weather and an early afternoon moon rise with a cold front hitting Oct. 1st. The action could be excellent and my property has a ton of recent deer sign. Good luck everyone, looks like it could be a great opener.

The forcast sounds good to me, Iwon't be able to get out until Sunday. Hope you guys don't scare all the deer away by then. We will be hunting Jodavies.
