Another NJ Buck-What's He Score
 

Hey all, my buddy Karl just killed this buck in NJ yesterday morning. In light of what some members have given as score estimates on some bucks on here I'm just curious as to what everyone would guess this buck at.

He has already been green scored both gross and net and I personally observed and documented the scoring so I know the score down to the 1/8th of an inch.

Just curious what everyone comes up with.

I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 125. A heck of a buck anywhere, especially for NJ.

Once this has gone 1 more page I'll post the actual scores.

Thanks to everyone so far for the guesses. It's always interesting to get a barometer of how people estimate deer. I've also noticed how much better everyone has gotten with estimates over the last 2 years. It used to be that there was 20-30" of discrepency in guesses and some were just so far off the real number (usually over) that you wondered what deer they were looking at.

So far everyone has been very close and only oneguess was what I would consider "off" and that was by about 10".

OK guys here are the actual numbers:

Gross 127 6/8" without the kicker on the base 129 3/8" with it.

Net was 120 1/8".

He had a lot of symmetry deductions.

If this were a contest Greg would have taken the prize with honorable mention going to Double Creek.

The pictures don't do justice to how long the main beams really are. They are nearly 23".
