What do y'all do for a living?
 

I lost my job that had for ten years. I absolutely loved my job as a water guy for my town, yeah I was the guy in the hole at 3AM in the middle of January fixing a live water main break. Anyway, I'm looking for ideas for jobs. What do you guys do? Do you like it? Is it exciting?

Electrician, i like the people i work with most electrician's are really cool, and it can be exciting every once in a while lol

My buddy is an electrician too, he seems to like it.
My dad owns a small car lot, and I did that for a couple of years.......not for me!!!

I am in the National Guard and love it cause im military plus i can run my Farrier/horseshoer service while serving..been to iraq once will go again drop of a hat

I'm a student at St. Cloud State University.

In the summers I work for my dad. He owns a small buisness, he is a Water and Sewer Contractor in Minneapolis and the surrounding areas.

I work for a software development company. For the most part, I liaise with the support people at our internationaldistributors. I love it because I talk to people all over the world every day. I am trying to work a deal to get down to New Zealand to "check up" on our distributor down there! (Can you say "red stag"?)

Self Employed here. I run a milk hauling business (7 days a week 365 days a year).

i am a specialist in the u.s. army military police corps. i have been in the army for over 5 years now. been to iraq for 15 months and then korea for two years. i love my job. i am currently stationed at wonderful ft knox, ky.

I have all the respect in the world for you millitary guys, and I wish I would have done that. At 35 I would be too old to start now.

I work for a major airline with ahub in Memphis. I am a ramp agent (determines weight and balance). It is repetitious but pays the bills. I could always use more though, to pay for my hunting addictions.

i'm a college student in school for mechanical engineering... during the week i work part time as press brake operator/ machinist at a job shop

Me too! I don't drive a service truck anymore and I'm grateful for that. I run the electrical crew at a small university in Texas. I'll be here until I retire. Great benefits including lots of paid time off to hunt and very good pay for the trade!

I'm a telephone technician for a nation wide phone company.

My official title is, CST. Customer Service Technician which used to be Communication Technician and Install/Repair Technician before that. Just some fancy titles to say that I do phone and computer work. :D

I'm a distribution dispatcher for American Electric Power. Getting promoted to a substation switching dispatcher here soon.

I've also played in a few hit movies back in the day.;)

I am a firefighter. Also I am in college at University of Missouri Science and Technology for Mechanical Engineering....Formerly UMR....Formerly MSM.

I pull and terminate miles of voice and data cable.Mostly schools and projects like that. One of three cable guys in a company with 50 electricians and monkies.

Sad to say I just got laid off.Expecting to be called back but not for at least a month. Enoughsideworkalong with some unemployment insurance should make for an OK fall.

The neat thing is my wife is not even giving me a hard time. She says she understands that I wait all year for this.I make pretty fair cake when I'm working but the old ball and chain makes even more. I guess I will just have to deal with that.

I am an Instructor for aircraft electronics for the Army but am thinking about applying for a position at PETA! Thought you guys could use an inside man. LOL LOL

My wife has always made at least double what I made until this year. I always looked at it as a blessing that we had the extra money and I was able go on hunts etc. that I probably wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. I never looked at it as something to deal with. JMO.

P.S. I own a small restoration company. We do water, fire, and smoke restoration and we also do mold remediation and restoration.

I have just finished up with the TSA as border security but i've went full time as an aircraft marshaller and love it.

My partner (Mike) is qualified in mechanical/aero engineering and is seeking employment offshore in Aberdeen.

The pay is very high in Scotland which is a good thing that I enjoy about living here and the 5 weeks paid vacation time.

I wish my wife made twice as much as I do. Then I would spend less time at work and more time in the woods! In her defense, she does pretty damn good while only working 8 hours a week. And no, she's not a stripper...the correct term is exoctic dancer. Just kidding![8D] She is a personal trainer and group exercise instructor.

You fighterfighters are amazing.....only job I know of that you get paid to sleep[8D] I have the best job in theworld. My office is in my car and people alwaysseem to change lanes when I pull up behind them. I'm a police officer:D

Technology Education instructor. Teach primarily graphic design, web design, flash animation with a little wood manufacturing thrown into the mix;)
