This terrain IS more open than anything Rob and Matt and I hunted this weekend. I sat where I did for a reason.....and that reason was the ability to glass the ridges around me. The fact that I had action was a bonus. It's the furthest I've been able to see all year. Rob had two deer behind him at 25 yds one day....and never saw them. Matt saw 12 deer60 yds from Rob one day....and Rob only saw 2 of them.

So what I guess you're saying is that you saved the virgin unhunted territory for yourself after all you guest left town?[8D][8D][8D] Don't take it personnal Rob, they treat Yankees that way down South. LOL

AND YUPPER, that place looks like a park all trimmed and brushed out. You should see what a real thick spot looks like. [8D]

They know the real deal, David....lol. I took them into places that had proven to produce in the past....and they both had shot opportunities. Rob's just too much of a softy to shoot a little doe.

Live and learn. We know for next year......and it'll only get better as I learn the lay of this new land.

I'll take more photos, tomorrow....looking down from the oak ridge. We'll be less than 100yds from where I was, tonight....and I'm betting the terrain looks a "little";)different through the lens.

Well as the "Herd Manager" you should have stipulated, "You shoot the first little scrawny bald headed thing you see and then we'll start hunting. Until you do you're going to have to hunt the "Fat Chance Property".[8D]
