ORIGINAL: Vabowman

so he gut shot her?? It didn't look like a gut shot to me from the pics... looked a little low but not guts.
Brother slow down and reread it and absorb it. LOL

We thought he gut shot it with nothing on the arrow but "food" matter. If you look at the photo, she was hit high on the entrance, she was 8 yards, the exit was perfect. The food matter had to come from the esophagus but the arrow be clean of blood after passing through the lungs is baffling.

It was a "near" perfect shot! Dead is dead tho.

Congrats!! It just goes to show you in the heat of the moment it's hard to tell where the shot went when the adrenaline is flowing.

I hope the rest of you fill a tag or two.

I saw 2 does (mature and a yearling) and Rob saw nothing.....sitting 50 yds below Matt and 60 yds above me. I let the two does go unfettered.....thinking they were gonna go right to Rob. They entered a horse pasture, under the fence, though.....and milled around not 25yds from Rob. He never saw them. It's thick where he was.

Today....we're venturing into my other best spot. We're not sure exactly who's hunting "where".....but I'll figure it out when we get in there. I know where I want them to sit.....and I'll get out of the way. Hopefully....anything that ventures in will go to them. I'd love to see them both score, tonight. I don't plan on shooting....unless they're going the wrong way (away from them).

Acorns are, indeed, plentiful. They're falling all around us.

GGREAT little acorn flat we're headed to. I saw 7 from a distance in this area, Tuesday night. If they travel like they did then...one of them will get a shot.

It's hunting, though. Rob saw 5 last night. Matt and I saw none (except the two that blew and bolted when Rob stood up, once.....lol.

Today....it was Matt and I who had chances. Tonight? Who knows? We'll be out there, though.
