I've got an older PSE fire flight elite, shoots decent. Just had tuned up, been doing a little shooting, not as consistent as I would like. The shop turned it up to about 68 lbs. They recommened mechanical blade wasp jak-hammers(100grain). Anyway I am thinking of turning back down to 60 or so, do you think I can stay with the jak-hammers or should I go with a cut on contact fixed blade. I think I will be more comfortable with the lower weight, not a lot of let off on an older bow, and I don't want to be in the stand drawn back andnot be able tohold it long enough for a clear shot.

Without knowin all your particulars, draw length, speed, arrow weight etc, I'd say go with cut on contact. I know there are those who will tell you you're fine, I just error on the side of caution always.
