Simple "YES" or "NO" question. You dont have to comment on the thread if you want to keep your identity hidden, just vote.

Nope. Its hard to make a good story that ends with, "and thats how I poached this deer."

No, never deer.Once I poachedfish out of a resevoir in Ct. when I was 12 years old. I wasn't caught but I told my dad where I caught them. He whipped my butt. I haven't even considered it again. Thanks dad!

Yes!

My wife actually wanted it for herself, but she went to bed early...and I snuck in and poached that last piece of cake for myself like a common thief. Of coarse my wife wasn't too happy about it the next morning and I was placed in solitary (i.e. couch) the next few days.

Define “poach”. Are we talking about going out & jacklighting one or is shooting a deer a minute after legal shooting hours considered poaching?

Am I the only one who thinks the online hunting community IQ just took a nose dive?

Not proud of it, but about 14 - 15 yrs ago I poached quite a few, rifle kills, bow kills, even a little "jack-lighting." I've also legally done some "jack-light" farm destruction kills. Did I know it was wrong???? Certainly, but we also used all of the meat, and NEVER poached bucks, only does. I know that doesn't make it "OK," but it's the truth, regardless. I'm not ashamed of it, I know I should've done things differently, but I cannot go back and change the past.

This thread reminds me of when I went with a buddy to buy a deer rifle one time. He has to fill out a form...and the first question is:

"Are you currently a fugitive from justice"

I asked him if anyone ever answered "yes".

Here's your sign![&:]
