I don't discount the occurrence at all. But I'm also not alarmed by a single occurrence on an almost 5yr old bow I don't know the history of.

Glad everyone is OK.;)

I Heard thatBowtech had a recall on one of its bows for Limb issues. Not sure which bow, or the exact problem.

I'm with you. Bows fail all the time, you should see some of the scary things people are shooting. This time of year, at the bow shop I go to, there are lots of bows coming in that the workers don't even want to test fire!

What arrow did he shoot? I suspect in this age of lighter arrows we are going to be seeing more of this, I really think Bowtech is a victim of their own success here. They make a fast bow, so I suspect guys are pushing the limit on weight of the arrow. After a bit of time shooting this is what we get, and yes I called it in 2005:D I posted somewhere on wait until these preloaded limbs get 3 0r 4 years on them shooting a light arrow.

wow! but all in all, every bow on the market or one that someone owns, can and will fail eventually! i mean, the bow is pretty old, and who knows what it actually has went through over the years. was he the only owner of the bow? was he the only one that shot it? there are lots of variables to consider when something gors wrong with a bow.
just luckily no one was hurt.
hope all goes better!!!
