Dead is Dead. Had a friend years ago shoot 2 one season with field points just to prove a point to his brother in laws that were blaming their broadheads for deer loss. They was dead as any 2 deer I ever seen.
Disclaimer: I do not now, or have I ever condoned shooting deer with field points.

Dead is dead but the animals I have killed with a fixed blade have died faster than the ones that I shot with mech. Not that it means anything.

I still choose to use fixed blades though

How much "deader" than "dead" can any living thing be? Answer me this question first and I'll attempt to answer yours....I think

I would have to think in theory that mechanicals would be quicker. But, as mentioned before, dead is dead. In practice, there are so many variables that is doesn't really matter. My first choice would be the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

Just what kind of dead are we talking here "stone cold dead", "dead as a chicken" dead , "dead as a door nail" dead or just plain Ole "drop dead" dead ,no wrong answer mind you ,just asking.

I really think there are to many variables to your scenario to give an accurate answer.[:-]

Germ, you can tell us what movie this is from...

"Whoo-hoo-hoo look who knows so much. It turns out your friend is only MOSTLY dead. There is a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. With all dead there is only one thing to do."

"What is that?"

"Go through his pockets and look for loose change."
