Don't Forget Beachnuts...
While everyone knows that deer love white oaks, I have found that many don't know they also love beechnuts...
I picked out my tree for this coming Saturday...Thanks to Hanna, we now haveboth beechnuts and white oaks on the ground...
I've picked an area that's just off a creek deer crossing with both white oaks and beechnuts within bow range...

I hung a stand today that has both nuts and seen a few good deer ther also, and no squirils to be found but Lots of deer droppings, I am siked to sit there. I just started to notice that last year looking for acorns and finding very few in my area but noticed a ton of deer tracks and droppings under beachnut trees

I have found in the past that early bow season look for some locust trees. The pods are a wonderful treat for the whitetail and they seem to choose them over alot of other early season foods. And it is kinda funny when you see them spit the hulls out the other side of the mouth. Check the tree out on teh website. Deer love um.
