I know you are just kiddin' early in. I would venture to say there are more to come. Certain areas of the state continually suprise me every year.

Now, if this will just be my year.

I know the guy. He lives in the same city as me. He hunts in the deer rich area of the LA. delta in northeast LA. There are some monster bucks in this area of LA.He gun hunts and decided to pick up the bow again. Sometimes it's better to be lucky. The fertile soil in this areagrows big bucks. Bucks where my land is average about 140-150 pounds. In this area they average over 200 pounds and grow big racks. The rut in this area of the state is much later than the rest also. The rut takes place on my property usually in late Oct. or the first two weeks of Nov. In the delta, only 110 miles from my land, the rut takes place in late Dec. and early Jan.
