I find it funny that most of the folks that advocate physical violence just assume that they will be able to beat the hell out of the trespasser/lawbreaker. Most of the bad people I use to know were bad people and, from some of the pictures I have seen here, would not be getting their ass kicked by many of you here. As has been stated, let Law Enforcement handle these situations. Why risk a long hospital stay, or worse, needlessly?

Bruce.....true story I tell here, a lot....

We had a Project Manager who was having issues with a grading sub....and the sub got IRATE with him on the phone. The PM is a quiet guy....but one you wouldn't wanna stir up (ifyaknowwhatimean). Anyways...the sub starts telling him he's gonna come up here and kick his ass all over the lot. While on speaker phone, our PM listens and lets the guy go for a while.....then our guy says.....".....wait....wait...wait....a minute. WHAT do you think 'I'M" gonna be doing whilst you're whippin' my ass?"

;)

I have no tolerance for poaching; if I witness it, I am calling the authorities.

as for tresspassers.. warn tresspassor once if its my land, call land owners if its someone elses land, call authorities if its a repeated incident.

What am I going to do to stop poachers? Not much.

If I catch them in the act and can record them breaking the law or get a picture I will and let the law do its thing. If someone steals my stand, I won't be happy, but that is why I wait for the $80 hang ons to go on sale for $30 at the end of the year at D-icks. I've worked very hard to put myself into a position where losing a trail camera or treestand or whatever isn't going to create a major set back. I also don't leave anything in the woods I'm not afraid to lose. I protect my stuff as much as I can, but if somebody really wants it, they will get it.

If I can catch them doing it, I'll report it. If they try to hurt me, I'll give as good as I get, but that is an absolute last resort. I'm no good to my wife and kid if I'm not around.

I do have to admit when I was DT's age I was all piss and vinegar as well and would have gone to the ends of the earth to find who stole my stuff and make them pay. Having others count on you to be around for them changes your priorities drastically.

Usually the guy doing all the talking doesn't do much of the whooping..

A wise man once said: " Make the injury severe enough to hamstring revenge." I.E. If your gonna whoop someone you had better make it good.
