PROBLEM WITH MEAN V STRING SUPPRESSOR

I recommended the Mean V suppressor to a friend of mine and he recently had a problem with it.
He had it on a Matthews Q2 right around 60lbs. The suppressor broke right at the threads leaving the threaded part in the bow. The way it broke was weird, it broke right after the bow was shot.Didn't bend, it just fell off his bow.I have mine on my Black Ice and have never had a problem, but I also don't want the threads to get stuck in my bow. It is a painto remove...Has anyone heard of this?I guess he called about it but they wanted him to send the broken shaft in. I'm starting to do some research on it and I'm seeing posts about breakage with these. Anybody else having problems?

No problems here, I am sure it will be taken care of. I don't know if the all caps "problem"thread was necessary. I despise these threads no matter the subject or product, if ya don't get taken care of, then post the problem. No product out there is 100 percent, customer service can be and that is where the value in a product is.

Threads are NEVER stuck in anything. Simple tap set will remedy that situation, quickly.

Your friend likely had the suppressor fastner way over tightened.

Dans' products are 1st class, he gives it 150%. However, sometimes, a metal can fail- but I would venture to guess that the problem was over tightening of the lock bolt.

There is an obvious WARINING print with the suppressor.

Contact Dan and I'm sure he will take care of you and I hope that this is an isolated incident.
Exactly,

And I agree with Ben, the caps in the title, Really? It's not a problem, it's just a issue.

Did he drop the bow at any point?

I dropped my last bow and hit the stabilizer about 4 years ago.....everything looked perfect until the next shot and the stab simply fell off at the threads....apparently the impact caused a hairline crack I couldnt see. The threaded bolt should be easy to remove from the bow....whether your fault or his, Im betting Dan will work something out with you one way or another. Great guy.

I haven't had any issues with mine and have spoke with Dan several times on the phone and he always does what he says he will.... Tap the thing out like droptine said and send it to Dan and it will all be resolved, and NO you don't need to worry about yours!!!!
