I pulled a "robin hood" lasat week for the first time at 30 yards. It was cool to do, but like everyone said it's not something you want to get in the habit of.

Yeah I never will forget that sound, kinda made me all giddy inside at the same time I was feeling sick at trashing 2 arrows that used to really fly straight. Before that day I allways tried to hit the nock of the last arrow I shot, nowing full well I would never in a milloin years hit the darn thing. Went straight out and bought a lottery ticket....

Yeah its cool the first time and gets more expensive each time after. Same drill, I dont shoot groups from 30 and in anymore. It sure is a nice feeling to know that your arrows group that tightly from 30yds and inhowever....

Just replace the nock but make sure you check the arrow out very well before you shoot it again. I have robin hooded several arrows over the years. It does not hurt the second arrow so, just pull it out an use it again. It is still expensive though.

I picked up a bow for the first time last year, and after a half a year of shooting, I got my first robin hood. 20 yards, at a sports shop while they were tuning my bow.

It gets expensive to do too often (robinhood), but the first ones always fun to show your buddies. The feeling waers off fast after the 2nd/3rd time at $10-$12 a piece.
