Default Tree stand safety. Do you wear a harness?

I read a thread earlier and it got me to thinking back to when I fell and I wanted to see how many of you do-don't wear fall restraints when get off the ground?
I never wore one in 10yrs.+ hunting, then fell hard and will not hunt without one now. I picked every time I get off the ground, cause I now know...

I put mine on at the house..over my t shirt but under my hunting shirt..It keeps the metal thing from making noise.. plus I'm fat and need the extra strapping..

It's like wearing a seat belt, I've never needed it yet but if and when I do I'll have it on. The rule where I work is if you're within 6 feet of a 4 foot drop you have to wear a harness, its just second nature to wear one.

I used to just tie my self to the tree with some climbing rope and a heavy belt with a carabiner, I now own a vest style harness so I will be puting it on at the base of the tree, I think.

Just remember there are no second chances, gimmies, do-overs, mulligans at this dead/paralized is forever. I think I got this going just so I could maybe make 1 person think about it for a second before going up. I didn't use to, fell and lived.... loss of quality of life... yeah some, but I'm still here and lucky to be. I'm sure this type of thread goes on every season but hey, I knew better before I fell too!
