Default 1500 cu.in. of love.

So, I decided more than anything I needed a new day pack for my upcoming mule deer hunt. I've got a frame pack for hauling out meat and hiking way back, but considering we'll have a decent sized base camp to work from, I wanted something smaller in case I decide to stick close to camp at all.

I wanted something with plenty of room. I wanted something that I could use back home hunting whitetail and turkey as well.

I settled on the Horn Hunter G2.

It's got 1500 cubic inches of storage space.

The coolest feature for me was the fact that I can hook my bow up to it for hands free hiking.

And, as I'm sure you've noticed by now, it does indeed have a detachable quiver that straps directly to the pack.

Inside the pack itself is a pouch for a hydration bladder, which is not included with the pack. I happened to have an extra one laying around and threw it in. It's also got bungee straps on the face of the pack for loading down extra layers of clothes.

I'll put this pack through the paces in a couple weeks and get back to the thread then with updated information and pictures. Let me know if you've got any questions now or want pictures of anything else, I'll be happy to do what I can.

I see we have a Spongebob fan on our hands[:-]

That is one sweet looking pack. I think you'll find more uses for the bungee cord feature than you can think of. My Ripcord pack is similar, almost the same actually (minus the bow holder), and I love the bungee cords. They come in so handy.

ORIGINAL: DropTine249

Topo map stuck to the peg board. Rangefinder hanging form the wall. Wearing a hunting t-shirt. I can make out at least 2 hunting related shirts in your closet. Spot target on your shelf. Release on the bed. Bow case in the corner. Whitetail calender. Outdoor photo collage.

Yea- I'd say you've got it pretty bad....

I was thinking the same thing. Atta boy dan, atta boy.

Dan,

Very nice pack, I have to admit I enjoy looking at the things in the background of your room more!

Is it me or does that bow look to have a 54" ATA in these pics?[&:][8D]

That pack is sweet man. I need to get me a good pack for similar reasons, but backcountry mule deer arent on my near future hunting schedule.

But like you, I replaced my vest with a pack last turkey season, and it was the best decision Ive ever made....so much more mobile, quiet, comfortable, concealed...everything is better.
