Nowhere in the formula for KE does arrow material figure in. And since I figured you for a smart guy, too....I asked the question.
So a lighter arrow would travel faster (out of the same bow)....resulting in what?

Kinetic energy is the result of velocity squared multiplied by the weight divided by 4504.

Do you guys have any concerns about penetration ,due to the sharp blade angle.
I'm thinking these heads would be more applicable to an aluminum arrow with a lot of K.E.
Or am I seeing something thats not there.[:-]

Gary, any idea what the tip is made of ? Heat treated or pre hard maybe?
If you have a small file ,you can use the corner of it to see how hard it is.
They look like a well made head ,and the way the blades come out sharpening them will be a snap.

I have been shooting the standards since July and they fly better than any head I have ever seen, I don't go with the Grizz b/c I shoot a light arrow and I want good penetration. If I shot a 400 gr or heavier I would shoot the Grizz. These blades are sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got 6 coming and FedEx says they will be here on Tuesday. I have no doubt they will shoot well as my 100 grain Slick Trick Mags shoot like field tips. I will provide a report on Tuesday though.
I don't think it will be a big deal shooting a lighter arrow(332 grains) with them. At least that's what I'm going to try! I'll keep you posted.
