WHat do you take bowhunting with you..
ok ..say your stand is already in the woods locked up ..What to you take with you besides your bow, arrows and release
Here's mine ...
- New Testament..it keeps me sitting longer and quieter and I find favor with God.
- 2 light head sets with extra batteries..I walk over a mile to my stand ..Public hunting.
- Therma Cell and mosquito repelleant incase Therma breaks down
- Flagger tape to mark blood trail
- Compass..50,000 acres is big.
- short rope to attach seat and platform
- 20 foot rope to pull bow up
- 2Bow hooks..to hang bow /small back pack ..
- Range finder
- Hand held pruning shears ..for twigs I forgot about.
- Folding buck knife..to gut out deer in case it's too big.
- 38 revolver..for any mishaps
- a few trail tacks..in case I decide to move my stand.
- plastic gloves ..for cleaning a hog.
- key for my locked up stand
- pee bottle..one that won't make noise.
- 10x 42 Leupold binoculars..Florida is prime migratory time..warblers
- Grunt call
- Hunting license...make sure we are up to date..
- Turpentine ..as cover scent.
- Seat in the pants safety harness with loop rope.
Cold water stays in truck ..I take no water or food.
Wheel barrow in truck in case I need it..
Big cooler in truck.

I don't carry much besides the bow, arrows and release. I try to keep everything as light as possible and carry it in regular school backpack that I "modified".
2 LED Flashlights
2 Led clip on head lamps
1 Gutting Knife
1 Smaller lock blade pocket knife
1 Bow hook
1 small bottle of wind checker powder
Tags
Compass and map of area
Camera w/extra set of batt.'s
Extra parachute cord (handy if you lose pull rope, attaching tags, etc.)
Small bottle of scent killer spray (thanks Ducsauce for the directions on homemade stuff)
Small survival kit (a little bigger than an Altoids tin)
A few Zip Ties and a little Duct tape - ya never know

all depends on where im hunting.
behind the house:
cover scent, rangefinder, phone(on vibrate), phone has flashlight, grunt call - besides the bow/release/arrows thats it!!!
At the big farm and Mountains:
cover scent, range finder, binos, flashlight(LED), some water in CamelPack, some snacks, Knife, phone(vibrate), pee bottle, extra gloves, grunt, wallet(with tags), some tree pegs, small folding saw all in a Badlands pack
behind the house:
