How many points of reference for your anchor(s)

RE: How many points of reference for your anchor(s)
The only reference it gave is that the peep moved, you are still anchored as long as your anchor references are met. Doesn't tell me whether I am anchored correctly or not!!!!

1 - knuckle of index finger against jawbone
2 - string to tip of nose
3 - lastly, peep housing centered around sight housing. (this comes last because if my other 2 and consistant and correct the peep will fall into place)
And, if I drew back and felt comfortable and noticed my peep was 1/2" high, and everything else was still "right" (index knuckle to jawbone and string to tip of nose and that "its just right" feeling I get at full draw from months and months of practice to get the correct anchor memorized and engrained into the shot) I would think "oh golly my peep creeped a 1/2", I must remember to tie it in tighter next time, silly me." If I could still see past the string or through the string "opening" to my pins I would probably still take the shot just because I know everything else is right.
To me, the peep is more of an opening in the string to see through. Its the last thing I set on a new bow after nock point, draw length, draw weight, release lenth, tuning...etc. I get all that "right" and then put the peep in and draw back with my eyes closed and get comfortable where I should be and open my eyes and move the peep up or down to fit me.

I give up......lol.
I suppose your driveway isn't a good reference pointfor where your house is.....because you know where it's supposed to be on a map.
Semantics.
I'd venture a guess that if more people felt the way you guys seem to (or wish to argue) .......that more people would choose to NOT employ a peep, at all (if they weren't using it as a point of anchor reference). It's made me want to do away with mine....since it's ONLY to see through the string with (apparently). I don't think that's very important. So....I may ditch the thing.
