Default Loose nocks - any tips?

Anyone have any tips on getting the nocks a little tighter on my Gold Tips. Seems like the nocks like to back out of the shafts on occassion. Drives me a little nuts!

Thanks.

Plastic bag em. When you go to insert them into the shaft, do so thru a plastic grocery bag. Sometimes though if the fit is too tight alreay it will cut rather than push in.

You're shooting weight tubes aren't ya Bob?

If that's the case and they aren't cut EXACTLY right you can't stop the nocks from backing out because the weight tubes rebound inside the shaft and bang them loose.
You can TRY with little squares of shopping bags press fit into the shaft by the nock to hold it in place.

Yes, I am using weight tubes. Is that something pretty common? I'll give the plastic bag trick a try.

if that doesnt work take some masking tape and wrap it around the knock until it is snug in the arrow shaft

I use nock inserts and Bohning Classic nocks and throw the nocks that came with the arrows away

Bob the beauty of bagging in your nocks is the fact that they make so many different mil plastics, today. Your chances of finding one that works is almost 100%. It's also a good thing when you bust one, practicing....and can replace it VERY easily.

The bags the merchandise from my shop comes in worked perfectly for my target arrows, this past winter. I tried maybe 4-5 different mils before finding one that worked, though.

Good luck.

Try the bags from the department store Target.

Bags work well for me. Thanks Mr. James.[8D] If they is real loose, raid the sandwich zip locks from the wife's kitchen.(thicker than the grocery type.
