i just had a big adrenaline rush about a half hour ago. i was on my way home and to get to my driveway you have to drive throughone of our peanut fields. well when i made the turn off the dirt road into the field there was a beautiful ten point standing not more than thirty yards from my truck! this deer was a real bruiser, i'd guess at probably an 18" spread, decent mass, but what i loved was the height of his rack. his g2s had to be close to 14 or 15 inches long. i couldn't believe it. but heres the best part of all...i have a stand about a hundred yards from where he was standing! my plan is to scout around the field, find the busiest trail coming into the field, and set up a ground blind nearby. needless to say after seeing him i am PUMPEDfor this bow season. i hope to be posting a pic of me holding him in the next couple of weeks. anyway sorry for the long winded post i just had to tell somebody about this deer lol
