RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
Some of us aren' t thick headed as you think we are. We just see your post the way you wrote it. It reeks of attitude. You know what? Most of your posts reek of attitude anyway. Calm down and smell the roses, you will be alot happier! Try getting outa bed on the other side for a change.:D

RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
Bowfanatic, I would absolutely want the antler if it was attached when I shot and lost it running into a tree after I shot. I could even tell the story honestly that I had in fact shot an eight point. When I mounted the skull I would have just the one side attached to the skull and the other side on the plaque. I would have a great and memorable story about that buck. The ' hafa' that I harvested only had one side when I shot and it did not matter at all to me. I never looked for the other side, I never asked other hunters about finding half of a rack, I really didn' t care about the other side. I grunted, rattled, used the wind, read the sign and I was successful that particular time. That was a trophy hunt to me.

RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
You could not be more correct thunder. I do get a little testy when I have to re-type the same thing I posted earlier. I guess it just struck me funny how some of the fellas understood the question, and others didn' t. [:-] Now what does tickle my ol' funny bone is making a general statement of a few folks being thickheaded, and you so quickly accepted the honor. Thank you. :D
Don, I agree with you, and I did give him a hard time about it. I do hope he is honest about how the mount came about when he shows it off. If he chose not to, that would be the only problem I would have with it. It is a GREAT buck, he sent me a pick of it with the other antler attached back on, and it was all of a 170. And to think I was the one who introduced him to bowhunting just a few short years ago. I tell ya what, he has blossomed into quite a hunter. |

RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
rookelkhunter, I only asked your opinion. If you don' t like that people don' t all feel the same as you, don' t ask. You won' t be disappointed.;)

RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
I' m pretty sure I said I personally wouldn' t do what he did, but for the third time, TO EACH HIS OWN. I also agreed with Don on his views on the topic if you read that thread.
Not really sure what you are talking about...that is, unless you automatically assumed you were in the thickheaded clan? I honestly have no clue what you are referring to. |
RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
Gee golly gosh fellas , didn' t yall see the " TO EACH HIS OWN" ?[:o]
What were we thinking?[&:] Sorry rookelkhunter!:) |
RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
To me it sounds like you have a problem with your freind " lying" to the other 30 or so people. Is that your beef? If he is lying about this story, which I think is a great story in its own right, then what else does he lye about and to who. Maybe he' s not that great of a freind after all. And I agree, " to each his own" . I know guys that have had antlers " fixed" by a taxidermist to match the opposite side. That' s fine, BUT, the story, and the whole story, should be told to all who hears!

RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
Think I am gonna stay out of this one! Sounds like a good question for the Pope and Yong Club![:o]

RE: A little bogus...what do you guys think?
rookelkhunter, you seem to have a problem with everyone not jumping on your bandwagon.
If you don' t like that people don' t all feel the same as you, don' t ask. Opinions please. All I' m saying is when you ask for opinions, that' s what you' ll most likely get. They may not be what you expect. Don' t start talking down to the people who don' t offer up what you want to hear. TO EACH HIS OWN. |
