That buck is a MINIMUM of 4-1/2 years old, maybe a 5 year old. In the low 160's - tough to tell from the picture because he has some non-typical stuff going on that is tough to tell, also not fully grown there.

I think he is an older buck. 1) sagging belly 2) large framed chest (even if he doesn't have any meat on his bones right now - give him 2 months!) 3) absolutely massive bases to that rack. Cannot tell how many points he really has so he would likely be in the 150-170" range depending on that. That is a PIG. And people, IA is not that good...we dont have 2.5 year olds with those antlers

(I'm just messin' with you wahoo). But like I said before.. that is an older whitetail.. and I would totally agree with Kshunter that he is past his prime..

i just wanted to see where you were comin from with the 4.5-5.5 age range so I could take a second look

Not sure on score, maybe upper150's.. But he is not a 4.5 yr old at all... He might be 3.5 though.. He is still a young buck. Notice the back legs look "too long" and there is not much muscle mass in the front shoulder. Along with the straight body.. I'd say 3.5 yrs old this season..
With the drop tine I'd still take him given the chance though. I've always wanted a drop tine buck and never had a crack at one..
