Let' s just say i am happy that I bought the Razortec.
IMO, if that is Mathews definition of smooth they have some work to do.
The bow was very quiet and had absolutely no handshock, I will give it that much credit.
I still can not stand the grips on them. They are too wide for my tastes.
I found the valley, much like the Legacy, to be almost nonexistant. Additionally, I found the draw curve to be extremely aggressive. It was so aggressive I did not believe my dealer when he told me it was at 74 #s. It felt every bit of 80 + to me, and that was with the 80% let off cams on it.
To be quite honest, it was a 30 inch draw bow and my drawlength is 28.5 inches. If Mathews would just get up with times and make the cams drawlength adjustable I could have given it a much better review.
Personally, and I may be admitedly biased, the Hoyts are a much better bow than the LX. Truth be told, the Legacy is a superior bow to the LX, at elast for me.

Interesting.......Thanks ! There are no Hoyt dealers in town and I don' t want to have to drive very far to get service ,so I' m limited in my choices. I will pay close attention to those observations when mine comes in ! I had the same experience recently with the AR31 ' s cam [:' (] !!

Got mine today, after setting it up it was consistently 8-10fps faster than the Legacy. Better valley, maybe because of the 80% cam. Just as quiet and smooth. Think I' ll keep it!!!!

Shot the LX today and must say that I was very pleased with the performance. I have a Legacy and the LX is as smooth drawing, shock free and around 10 fps faster than my Legacy. Both have very little to no valley, but that is ok if you know that up front. Compared the new Hoyt Cybertec to the LX and have to say the Cybertec is a sweet shooter as well. If the LX had 0 handshock, the Cybertec may have had .01 handshock. Speeds were very comparable, but, in my opinion, the draw on the Cybertec may have been a touch smoother with a definite valley. Will be a hard decision on which to get, for me, but will probably go with the LX. Both are wonderful shooting bows.

O.k. , I got to shoot the LX today and it' s awesome. It is super smooth ,quiet ,and fast. It does have a short valley ,which I wish was a little better. But overall it' s the best shooting Mathews I' ve ever shot. IMO !! I just shot it how the shop has it set up with a rest, aluminum dampiners, and string loop & kisser button. We consistantly got 275 fps out of it with a 473 grain arrow on 30 " ,80 %,and a little over 70 #. I will let you guys know how it does with a stablizer and a 393 grn arrow & 352 grn arrow !!
By the way, this chrono reads about 5 fps slower than any other chrono I' ve shot on before. [

LX is very good fast bow for draws shorter than 29. 6 5/8 brace hight might not be as critical for 28 draw as for 30.
Lx is short draw dream for speed guys! I like this year Hoyt over Mathews.
