The entire carbon rod or just the little cable slide?

If it is just a slide no big deal. They all eventually wear out and break, especially the plastic ones that come from the factory. Get a good teflon slide and you are back in business.

Both issues that it could be could be fixed for less than $5. No problem. Either put the carbon rod back in and tighten it or get new cable slide.

I had the same problem with the carbon rod on my Tomkat. I just re-inserted it firmly and tightened it down and the problem was solved.

Don't just replace it with any old cable slide. Check out some of the more popular cables slides while you're at it. Good excuse to get a better one.

E-mail me your name and mailing address and I'll get a new one in the mail to you ASAP. Also include what model and model year bow it is.
