RE: Bowtech/Ross update - no buyout

The original deal (as I understood) was a complete buyout of Ross Archery Inc. But it wouldn't be the first time that I've been wrong. [8D]

I understand that the 2009 lineup are made by Bowtech and that Andy Ross was onboard for the design. But does this mean that Ross Archery Inc. still exists as a separate company? And what happens to the owners of the 2008 and older Ross bows? I am sure more details will be made available as it all gets sorted out.

So Ross just jumped ship away and left the other company to sink.
No, The way I understand all of that is G5 pretty much owned all of the patents of the old Ross bows. Which is why G5 is now also producing bows.

Yes, read it again. Bowtech is producing Ross bows. They just didn't purchase any of the "mess" that was the Ross and G5 fiasco. It is an entirely new line of "Ross" bows that aren't based on any of the old Ross / G5designs, patentsor bows.
that makes more sense.Smart move.Probly would have been a huge mess for bowtech if they had tried to buy all the old patents and/or inventory.
