Getting back on topic...The world is full of idiots. Someone who pulled a stunt like that at the ranges I go to would have immediately been told to leave.... maybe for their own protection.

The first timeI was pulling arrows out of my block and heard "THUMP" coming from 10 paces to my right I turned around and gave the guy a what the frig are you doing look. He put his bow down so I thought that was the end of that. After the second time it happened, we only went to retrieve arrows when the nummies did too.
After the third strike when they were about to launch arrows from 30yds behind us, someone had to be "out" and I chose for me and the crew to get the heck away from those 2 nummies. I figured there was no sense in trying to put sense where none was existent to begin with. Besides that, I didn't want to have the intention of saving someone from being stuck with an arrow then end up sticking someone with an arrow myself.

last year when i went to sight in my rifle, there was a couple that would have one shoot while the other was down range to "inspect" the groups then radio back to the person shooting how to adjust the sights. The rifle range was next to the pistol range it a 15 foot hill separating the two ranges and the man standing down range went on top of the hill so he wouldnt get even though the people shooting pistols had no idea he was there. we asked the woman shooting while the man was down range if thats what she usually does and she said her husband told her to shoot and he'll stand out of the way....down range...the man came back and his wife told him that we said he was stupid for doing that so the man came over to us and said, "I am no idiot, i was out of the way and i knew my wife wouldnt shoot me, she's a very good shot(what about the guys shooting pistols 50 yards away that cant see you....) I was a sniper in the army i am no idiot when it come to shooting."
Some people just dont think do they?

People are pretty good about being courteous and safe at the place I shoot. (It's a public place, too.) When someone else is there shooting when I am, I shoot the same number of arrows that they do, so we can go get out arrows at the same time.
I'm often the guy that is too careful. Even when people are retrieving their arrows that are well out of my way, I wait. They usually look back and see that I am waiting on them and say "Go ahead"....I just say "I'd rather wait"
