I have to be standing. It's easier to swing or turn on a deer if he steps one direction to the left or right.

I usually stand the first and last hour of the day.
And sporadically throughout the day.

So, it all depends.

If I am sitting and the deer walks up, I usually stay sitting.

I've shot them sitting and standing as well. Practice sitting shots, maybe 20% of your shots if you are shooting from an elevated platform. I actually feel very comfortable shooting from the sitting position.

I also missed 2 deer last year while sitting down. I stand whenever possible.

I have shot from both, sitting and standing. But I would say most have been from standing.

I always stand if I spot them coming in. It gives me a better chance if they move off to my right side. If im sitting im not able to take this shot.

I've shot them both ways and don't have a preference, sometimes sitting is easier just for the fact of less movement

I am less stable while sitting compared to standing, but I have taken animals in both positions. My effective range decreases by 10 yards when sitting though due to the decreased stability.
