Default Thermacell a gimmick?

Guys- I am a fairly tough hunter. 20 degrees? Hah- I'll sit all day in it. Rain? No problem, I'll still be out there. But mosquitos and gnats in my ears and landing on my hands and arms I just cannot stand. Does the Thermacell device work, or should I hold on to my cash?

I used mine over the summer and it sure seemed to work nicely on our porch. My problem is that I forget to shut it off. [:@]

Not a gimmick...It works in the swamps here in NC...Mine stays strapped on my climber...

I use it when my 2 y/o daughter goes out to play. She's a natural attractant of Mosquitos and so long as the Therma Cell is on and she is within it's range the Mosquitos stay away. It does emit an odor but, according toreading other people's opinions, it's not an "offensive" odor to game.

Spring Turkey season would of been a mess without it! I plan on using it in the swamp for bow season

I had my doubts as well, then decided to just spend the $22.00 and it was worth every penny.
