ORIGINAL: mez Most everyone already answered you questions. I think you will be pushing it on size. According to the last post I must stand up wrong. The buckles of my safety harness hit the side rails unless I make a conscience effort to look down and see how to get them to clear. Even if the bottom doesn't come loose it makes noise when plastic hits aluminum. When it gets cold and I wear winter or bulkier clothes I have to put my hands over the buckles from my harness, they don't fit with bulkier clothes. The bigger guys having no trouble with the size of the seat must have a bigger seat than I do. Why don't you put fleece tape where your saftey harness buckles come in contact with the rails? That would eliminate the noise you speak of. |

How long are you guys hikes in.....where this is of so much importance to you?...the weight (3lb) advantage and the "packability")? Between the gear you have to wear / pack in to stay warm in those temps along withyour bow and stand you are packing in some serious weight. In those temps sweat is enemy number one, not just for scent control but to stay warm for your sit. If you sweat it up when it is cold out, you are in for a miserable hunt. |

hillbilly archer, correct me if I am wrong but I thought Andre designed and founded the Lone Wolf stands? Andre is not a big guy at all.
Nevertheless, stands are like bows. Everyone has their preferences. I've used Lone Wolf stands for 7-8 seasons now simply because they are more functional and suit me better. I am 6'0" and 152 lbs. so the ease of how they pack, climb, durability, quietness, and the ease of mind they allow me to have while up in a tree are very important to me. I feel much safer having to turn my body and moving my feet while getting into position to shoot using one. |

Wow, I am surprised at all the negative comments about the Sit and Climb. It seems most of them are coming from guys that have never tried one or tried one once or twice, or their brothers cousins nephew had one, etc. At any rate, I will give my input incase there is someone reading that is interested in a Sit and Climb and not just giving advice about something they haven't used. Look if you dont want one, then don't buy one. But you should never bash a product you haven't tried yourself. If you ever hunt public ground where you may have 45 minute to one hour+walks regularlyinto your stand in below freezing temps- even down into single digits at times the weight, packability and stealthy setup are all critical to your "success". |

Done. I'll order, today.....and let you know what I think. If I don't like it....you'll get it before I hunt from it. I'll do enough practicing beforehand, to know, for sure.
