When it comes to trigger speed, mine was a turd. I sent it back. I'm sticking with Cuddeback

I love mine! Same batteries since last September!!!! My old Moultrie that uses a 6V battery goes through one battery in about a month. The I40 uses, what is it? 6 D cells? Anyway, the batteries have been in there for a year and still going strong.

Seems like a great camera...I know within the next month I will have the Cabela's 5.0 Moultrie IR, with lock box. Can't wait to get it out and get some IR pics.

Love mine for all the reasons listed. The only negatives I've found are the plastic body tabs for the strap can break if you try to over tighten them and the battery/sd card compartment isn't as covienient as the D40 but still the best cam I have used.

I own two i40's. both good cams...both broke before 12 months of use...they do have good customer service and they fixed them quickly..the 07 model had a trigger of 1.5 sec...the new one (08 Model) has a trigger of 3.5 sec. Batteries last for 2.5 months or more depending on how many photos and videos you take...overall...it is a good cam, not made for trails...over bait would be best....good luck on your purchase....check out chasingame.com for more information....

I'll be finding out shortly how good their customer service is. I'll have to send mine into them. I have had it out for months and knew that it wasn't working right so I put another camera in the same spot. The Moultrie I40 would get 30-60 pics while the $50 Wildview would get 200-400 at the same site. Something has to be wrong with the trigger on mine so I'll send it to them and hopefully get it straightened out.
