Default I "think" I like 70lbs...

Went got my Ally backtoday.... She Cranks up to 70 again!!! Thanks for the hook-up GMMAT. I went ahead and had him leave it on 70. And I really like how it feels. I shot a few times whenI got home and It feelsperfectly solid from beging to end. I'm gonna leave it set there for now. I dont have any problems pulling it back like I thought I would. IDK it just feels.... good. Dare I say it... but it feels better than my Bear Element(solo cam)was at 70lbs, but that has been 1 year ago.I know all about the cold/stiff muscles of a hunting situation, but from what I shot tonight It's all good...

I liked seeing 297 on the chrono too

You guys have any situations where higher poundage "feels" better?

Higher poundage feel better?

Nope

When I was shooting a lot.....my target arrows shot best out of that bow at 66#'s. I hunted with it at 66, 67 and 70#'s.....and it was OK at all of those (on 70#'s the morning I shot my first8 pointer....and it was 12 deg out).

If a man is comfortable pulling higher poundages.....it is DEFINITELY an advantage. Period.

When you say "shot best" or your Ally "loved 66lbs"... Could you explain?

Do you mean the shooter in relation to the poundage?

Or are you saying that 66lbs is the sweet spot of that bow? Kinda like the powerband of a car, while running 55 and flooring it... not much can hang that is stock... but floor it from 70mph.... and you 'might' can get me.. depending on what your in. If that makes sense.... 0-35 and 55-70mph... is my trucks sweet spots. And thats how its gonna be no matter who's driving/shooting.

Where have you been Matt? And yeh, as far as I know all they did was twist the cables and time it. etc. It works now thats all that matters to me.

I had to go back to school, the 4th. That's taken up a lot of time. Not to mention, playing school golf, shooting, and just enjoying my senior year is taking up all my time

Aaron:

What #-age each person's bow "likes" will depend on the arrow.
