Post 1 thing you learned today about bowhunting/archery

heres what I learned

1. Dont walk 3D archery course backwards
2. Traditional Bows cost more than I thought


You might have to think about this but If you were on here all day I guess you could think of about 3-4 things.

Make sure you have your safety harness so you can put your stand up. Left mine at home so I couldn't put up my stand. Not worth the risk.

Dropping my draw weight by just3lbs stopped my trigger punching. My shooting was much improved over yesterday's performance.

My wife hates all the mud on her vehicle after a scouting trip that I took today.:D

Make sure the tree you select to put your stand in is smaller than the diameter of the chain that holds it on,
other wise you will have to go WAY back to your truck to get the stand that fits onto larger diameter trees

i was going to post that my dog bites when licking peanut butter. but now that i know what the thread is about. if you're lucky, your landowner may acquire a free trail camera. it's a good idea to scout before hunting.

Chiggers will get on you while walking through the woods,grass and even the yard! :eek:[&:]

Chiggers will eat you raw....Clear nail polish will kill chiggers.

Chiggers are not our friends...did I mention I hate chiggers? ;)

Its a rush when you split your first arrow.

I learned this yesterday but. Some archery things can get expensive when you add it all together.

Sour grapes make my eyes water.

How to tie the bowfishing arrow to the string.

I learned to keep your arrow tips on higher places because the floor is not a good place for them when your step on one.

I married an awesome women...actually I learned this for the millionth time...Today she helped me put up two treestands and cut a load of wood....she is neither a hunter or woodswoman. "pretty nice little saturday actually."

I can do a lot of push-ups, and that I do push-ups because I cant shoot my bow, I end up like doing 180 a day. Pretty good for a big kid.
