Default Grim Reaper Question

I recently purchased some Grim Reaper Razortip mechanicals, and I noticed that the instructions for broadhead assembly include the placement of a red compression ring between the cup and arrow shaft. My broadheads did not come with any red compression rings. What's up??

Not really sure about the red color, mine came with a black compression ring. The compression ring is what keeps the blades closed until contact.

Mine were black also, perhaps the newest ones have a different color?
