My first deer I would not take if I was in a tree today.

But I don't regret taking it. I am very proud of it, and I would not want to change that experiance for anything.

Absolutely!! My first deer is a trophy, BUT it is not one I would take today.
It was a 1.5 year old 6 pointer that I took by myself when I was 15 years old.

I remember like it was yesterday. I was in a brushy fence row between a picked bean and corn field. I watched that little fella all night chase does in the corn field when he finally decided to jump the fence and come into the beans. He came walking by at 20 yards. My eyes were foggy and blurred from the excitement, my arm was shaking so bad my arrow fell off myrest twice, my bow suddenly had a draw weight of 150 pounds, andI pulled and strained and pulled and strained to get that thing back. I finally got drawn released and hit my first deer right through the heart. I was hooked.

I hauled that thing all over the county showing it off.:D

Yes on both. My 1st deer was a doe fawn and yes it is a trophy to me.

I got lucky...my first deer with bow scored 145 inches...so I think you know my answers.

FYI...I did pass up smaller bucks before shooting that one though

Yes-I do consider my first deer to be a trophy. It was my first deer and I killed it with a bow.
I wouldn't shoot it again today because it was a button buck.
