I don't understand why you can't hunt the way you want to, it almost sounds like it a hassle or a chore for you to hunt and I hope it isn't!!! Hunt the way you want to!

But if you hunted your land and the Bio. told you that you needed to take 8 does off the property this year.....what would you do?
A Biologist??? How many acres do you have that you need a Biologist to tell you what to shoot???

Jeff do you consult a biologist every year? what is your ratio there? You have your hands full shooting alot of doe every year! I would try to get it done as early as possible so you can enjoy the rut! Let me know if you need help shooting any does I would love to come down and hunt! I could stay and visit my dad!

No, but related. He was even told by a guide Cananda and I quote "You like the little ones" We about fell out of our chairs.

I shoot a fawn every year, last year little missy did not hang around long enough for me to reload[8D] My Grandfather loves fawn meat. Every year I try and shoot one for him, plus the drag is way nicer

Several times a year. We email a lot.

what is your ratio there?
Don't know. We know from just my sightings that there are too many does, though.....even taking into account the multiple sightingsof the same deer. He's well aware of how I keep records....and I leave the rest up to him. The "8" number is actually low.

Shoot me a PM if you're gonna be down this way.

I would shoot them but we only can get a 2 doe tag limit so therefor I want big ones to fill the freezer! If I could shoot unlimited like some people hell yea I would shoot them the meat is real good!

When Gramps is gone, I may shoot one for sentimental reason's, we're kind of soft family We get 5 doe tags this year[8D] Early season is mature does only, late season look out
