Default deer more fertile in MI?

i moved from Michigan to Indiana so on my pilgrimages back home i travel up I-69. on this trip I see alot of deer. one thing i noticed is that i have not seen a doe with a single fawn in a long time. i always see them with 2,3, or 4 of them in tow. in the in-laws back yard a doe has 4 fawns they come up and eat the apples behind the house. also when i am hunting i never see just one fawn.
so i havecome to the conclusion that deer are more fertile in Michigan than anywhere else.....!!

any thoughts on this

Better habitat, plentiful food = more fawns born and surviving.
