Default shooting like you hunt

OK guys i plan to do some bow hunting from a pop up ground blind.
i do not plan to use the shoot through mesh

Should i do some practice with my bow from the blind. say with the chair i will be sitting in and everything like i was hunting.
Also do you guys ever shoot in rain if you plan to hunt during the rain.

I would definately recommend practicing from a blind. It takes some getting used to so you don't want to deal with that your first time out. I never really practice in the rain. Maybe a slight sprinkle but not during a downpour. I usually see little or no movement until the rain stops and then things pickup.

You definetly want to practice from your blind. Even though your sight window looks clear make sure your arrow is clear. I know numerous people who did this. And you dont want it to happen on a buck of a lifetime.

Always shoot like you hunt. I used to do stupid things like run hard for 30 seconds to get my heart pumping hard, then shoot my arrow. I now hold a beer, put it on the ground, then shoot.

Biggest thing about practicing shooting out of a blind is practicing shooting out of the same chair you're going to hunt sitting in.

Big thing is the height of the chair....and how that affects your sight window.

I would i was practicing to go turkey hunting with a bow and i was going to be sitting on a bucket when i shot so i got the target out and on my first shot i wasnt paying enough attention to how i had my bow and when i shot the cam came down and scraped my knee pretty bad i almost dropped my bow. it is not worth injuring a deer or your self because you are not prepared.

Yeah, like everybody else said practice the shots you expect to shoot when hunting. If nothing else it will improve confidence at the moment of truth.
