Always nanny whackin time, here, NC.
I've got some hired guns (not literally)coming to help.
Ya know ....in all seriousness.....there's cattle in the pasture where my mineral lick is, now. There hasn't been any in there for the past two seasons.
"Could" that be affecting the deer (to an extent)? I don't know.

This is exactly what I dislike about the whole camera thing.
It puts a little reminder in the back of your head each day of what you "may" not have. Causes 2nd guessing sometimes.
I had such issues with this.. since I believe hunting is such a mental game.
I wish you luck Jeff.. but I know what tricks can be played on the mind.
On the other hand.. they can play a vital role in building confidence as well. So.. what do I know.

There were cows in one of my spots in NC that I hunted the last 4 years. I'm not sure how much they bothered the deer but they aggrivated the hell out of me! I would get out of my stand and run them off, sometimes more than once in a sit.
If the deer are used to the cows being around like they are now, I would think that could throw them off a bit. They should get used to them...in time.

Duke don't get me wrong. I'm NOT putting out cameras on the new land I acquired.....for the sole purposes you mentioned. I don't WANNA know. I'm gonna hunt it hard and smart.....and assume they ARE there.
Point is a good one.

I'm going to pull my cards tommorrow. Unfortunately, the deer didn't cooperate Tuesday night for Jeff, Aaron, and myself, but I've been glassing some bruisers.
I have some photos I could send you to post.

No worries, I'm def. going to be selective with my postings, but (fingers crossed) I've got pictures of "powder". I'm sure my memory cards were full my monday night, but "powder" walked in front of one of the cams last night for 20 minutes.
