Default Does anyone do this?

So I just got my new bow and I am very excited about it, I am still waiting on arrows though. So my bow has been sitting in my living room and when I get home from work at night and see it sitting there I decide to pull it back a couple of times just to do it and to see how it feels. Well last night I had a hunting show on TV, and I grab my bow, pull it back, and I am facing the TV, when a buck walks on to the screen. So I put my sights on him as if I was going to shoot him. It was pretty cool actually. I was just wondering if anyone else does this to practice a little when they are sitting around bored in their house. Its kind of like the night before a football game, seeing yourself making big plays.

Never done that. Be very careful you don't slip and have a dry fire.

Sounds too risky to me. Like txjourneyman said, be careful not to dry fire. On the flip side be careful not to put an arrow through your TV.

They have archery ranges that are electronic and you can shoot at moving animals that is being projected onto a wall target.

From a visualization and/or entertainment standpoint, I can see why you would have done this. But I don't recommend that you continue to do it. An accidental dry fire can happen way too easily and that isn't pretty. Especially on a brand new bow. I don't think your warranty will cover dry fires.

I catch myself putting minerals in my living room floor in hopes they'll jump out and try them, too. I've even erected a tripod stand in the hallway.

Come on 9/13.

Careful what you say, some people will actually believe you did this.
