ORIGINAL: bawanajim don't kill honey bees. Look in the local paper for a bee keeper he will come and get them for free. They won't bother you if you leave them alone ,and what do you think is pollinating his crops? |

Perhaps just leaving the nest alone..?? Honey bee's are generally non-aggressive.. and there place in the world is pretty valuable. I suggest just moving elsewhere.. As I said, there really isn't an alternative tree atthis particular spot, but there are other spots. And if I am correct in that they were there all along, I can wait and hunt this spot after it turns cold. Thanks for the input. |

Hey Mike, you guys got killer bees down there, right? Are you sure they aren't them? I am way up north in Texas between Amarillo and Oklahoma City. Most of the Africanized bee hives they have found are way south of us. |

My thoughts exactly. But yea Id call bee keeper and have him come get them, hed be real happy that you called. We need to preserve our honey population as it is on a drastic decrease. Getting the bees out for the right bee keeper shouldnt be a problem at all. And who knows, maybe youll get some free honey in exchange. ;)

Wait until it cools off and go pull the stand. Do not kill them. We have some that just took over a trunk on our tree in the front yard. I don't know how many live there but it's got to be several thousand. The population has really grown since we first noticed them.They have never bothered us even when we mow the lawn right under the nest. Bet there is some great honey in my tree.
