DDW does work. But...(and there is always a "but" isn't there?), how good it works is only as good as your weakest link. In other words, if your breath is bad, which to a deer it always is, that is your weakest link. DDW is not a cover up, but a true odor eliminator that utilizes enzemes that "eat" the odor causing molecules.
In the case of HB getting busted...there are a whole lot of obstacles in that scenario to overcome. Multiple people (cameraman or more), lots of hiking (I assume) and activity that probably would require several follow ups with the spray thru the day, etc. Not trying to speak for HB, but those are pretty good assumptions I think.
IMO, DDW is worth using because I believe in the science behind it, and anything you can do to reduce your odor presence in the woods has to be a help.

I started using DDW last year, and this was the first year that I didnt have a deer even close enought for a shot.[:@] Dont really know if I was getting winded, or the deer were just staying away from me.

It actually does work. No matter what you use, when its 90+ degrees you sweat......a lot. That was the case in New Mexico. The wind was REALLY swirling out there, I think I used 2 bottles of wind checker that trip. That's just the way it goes elk hunting. Those bulls were all inside 45 yards, the last one caught movement from the camera guy.....had nothing to do with scent.
I religiously spray down before every hunt, and during the hunt to stay as scent free as I can.
Thanks guys! - Jeff

I like the DDW body foam. It's the only thing I've tried so far. As my other scent stuff runs out, I will probably re-stock with DDW stuff. That foam really helps out the "sweaty" areas not to get smelly.

Couldn't agree more. The primos Silver XP works on the same basis.
These products are designed to last longer because a simple"cover-up" will wear out, DDW and Primos not onlyhelp control but also help prevent the reemrgance of odor causing bacteria.
