So we're sitting around the campfire at my parents cabin this weekend when I see a couple of young does wander down the road heading our way. Without any prompting, my son grabs his "deer rifle" and starts stalking them....

He's two weeks past his third birthday....:) My sister happened to have a camera nearby and the pic is priceless.

The rest of the story....

This toy gun cocks and makes a "Bang" noise. He shot once, and the deer looked up at him, then continued feeding and started wandering away.

He cocked it, and shot again. They just kept feeding, and ignored him. He started getting mad and telling me "It's broke!" He tried it again, and by this time he's almost in tears because he's shot three times and they haven't gone down yet LOL.... :D

i just cant wait. i only have a daughter but she is almost three and everytime she sees a deer she thinks its "daddies deer". and the other day we was watching a hunting video and boom the deer goes down and she looks up and says "AWESOME". its moments like these that really make you step back and appreciate, even more, our children.
