Six grains per pound of draw weight?
No mechanicals?
No lighted nocks?
No baiting bear?
One deer per hunter per season?
Should I keep going?

I pretty much do as I please!
There's not too many restrictions down here and I hardly ever run intothe wardens. I only talked to him once last deer season, and didn't even seehim during turkey season. They're usually inside the police dept drinkin a cup of coffee and shootin the bull. One of em isa pretty cool feller, the other is pretty much a douche. Bow season opens October 15th and runs until Jan 31 statewide. As many does as you can pile up during your county's doe days, and a 3 buck limit throughout gun and bow season. One buck must have at least 4 points on one side, the other two can be spikes, but those walk on my land. They just started the 3 buck rule last season, before that you could shoot whatever and whenever if you didn't see spots--this is why we never see huge deer down here, but maybe in about 10 years we'll start showin off some nice ones. I like the 3 buck rule though, and I obey it unlike a lot of folks down here. It's so easy to get away with breakin this 3 buck law. All we have is a place on our license to write down each buck we kill and each turkey we kill (limit of 5 spring and fall combined). If you don't see the warden, he can't check it and he won't know how many you have killed. I really don't like that too much, but even if they changed it there would still be some genius poachin redneck that could figure a way around it. A few of my buddies were writing it down with a pencil reeeeeallly light, that way they could erase it later. All in all though, I wouldn't change a thing, I like it how it is.

I would like to bump the spring turkey season back a week or two to accomodate out of staters coming in to hunt
I really wish our gun season was shortened....two weeks is a bit long. I think a 9 day season would be even better, but a sat-fri high powered season would be ideal. And before you guys go to blasting, I am a gun hunter. I enjoy it every bit as much as bow hunting in most cases, I just feel 2 solid weeks puts too much pressure on the deer. Atleast in my immediate area anyway, I guess it is selfish in a way.
I would also like to change the elk lottery draw system for KY to where I could be drawn...lmao ah well, maybe one of these days. Many smart people are calling the next world record elk to come from KY. The elk genes are from the best of the best from Utah, NM, etc. They are a relatively new population in eastern ky meaning unlimited resources for years to come. It will take a long time for an elk population to grow to numbers that impact the carrying capacity over there. More range per animal, nearly unlimited food and shelter, and extremely great genetics makes for some freak nasty elk.
No predator hunting after dark is my biggest gripe...[:@]

I'm moving Tuesday and up late packin up crap, takin a little break and thought of one thing I would like to change here in Alabama. I would love to see bow season come in maybe a week or two later (persimmons and acorns don't start fallin good until end of Oct and beginning of Nov anyway), and extend bow season a week or two into February. Our bucks don't get into full blown rut until the last week or two of January and on into February in some parts. The ONLY time I've ever seen bucks chasin does is the last half of January. I'd keep gun season the same, going out at the end of January, and extend bow season a couple of weeks. Ok back to work.
